If you feel your driving will be compromised by your drowsiness, get off the expressway through nearby interchange and take a rest before re-enter to the expressway. However, the pre-drive nap is recommended if you feel drowsiness or fatigue taking a short nap before entering to the expressway, can help make up for a short nights' sleep, If you find yourself drowsy while driving pull over through the nearby interchange into a safe location to take a short nap of 15-20 minutes. Remember you will be groggy for 15 minutes or so after waking up.
The best way to make sure your mind and body are in optimal driving shape is to plan ahead and get 7-8 hours of sleep before you drive.
Take a break at least 15-20 minutes every 02 hours.
