  • If you feel your driving will be compromised by your drowsiness, get off the expressway through nearby interchange and take a rest before re-enter to the expressway. However, the pre-drive nap is recommended if you feel drowsiness or fatigue taking a short nap before entering to the expressway, can help make up for a short nights' sleep, If you find yourself drowsy while driving pull over through the nearby interchange into a safe location to take a short nap of 15-20 minutes. Remember you will be groggy for 15 minutes or so after waking up.


  • The best way to make sure your mind and body are in optimal driving shape is to plan ahead and get 7-8 hours of sleep before you drive.


  • Take a break at least 15-20 minutes every 02 hours.


  • Drowsy driving is the dangerous combination of driving and sleepiness or fatigue. This is usually happen when a driver has not slept enough, but it can also happen because of uncontrolled sleep disorder, medications, drinking alcohol or shift work.


  • The best countermeasure to drowsy driving is to get enough rest on a daily basis. Sleep is the only travel preventive measure against the risks of drowsy driving. (7-8 hours sleep / night).
